The most beautiful beaches in the south of France – 5 dream beaches for your holiday in France

The South of France is one of the most popular destinations for German tourists. It’s also no wonder! Because if you look at the beautiful places of the Cote d’Azur and its dream beaches, almost every traveler’s heart is drawn to one of the most beautiful beaches in the south of France. Today we have the most beautiful beaches of the south of France and the Cote d’Azur at a glance.

Plages des Sablettes Menton

I have already reported about the Plages des Sablettes in my Menton travel guide. For me it is the absolutely most beautiful beach of the south of France. The beautiful clean beach, the shallow water, the great promenade and the absolutely breathtaking view of the countryside and the city of Menton simply convince.

Nice city beach

Nice is the largest city of the Cote d’Azur and also offers many beaches. The most beautiful beaches are private beaches that you can only access with a hotel booking. But the public beaches are located in sections between the private ones and so you have in Nice at almost every corner a great place for your bathing holiday.

Villefranche-sur-Mer

Villefranche sur Mer is only 7km from Nice and about a 10 minute train ride away. The beach bay is not very big and therefore quickly crowded. Here you should come in time and bring a small snack and enough water with you. The town is close to this dream beach, but you don’t have the comfort of a direct beach promenade.

Paloma Beach

Paloma Beach in Saint Laurent Cap Ferrat is a picturesque little beach with a great view. The small bay was for a long time also a secret tip, today it is also well visited. Parking is very scarce, but from the port to the beach is not 10 min.

Cap d’Ail: Plage Mala

If you’re looking for a more obscure beach in the south of France and are up for adventure, Cap d’Ail is the place to be. Here you can find the Plage Mala, from which you can catch a great view of the most beautiful beach in the south of France. It is important that the sun comes out behind the landscape around noon and you should be fit for the descent to the bay and later for the stair climb.
