Prague Wildsee – the Braies Lake in South Tyrol travel tips, directions & hotels

Prague Wildsee is a wonderful natural setting that is popular with hikers, families and couples. The Lago di Braies, as the Prague Wildsee is also called, is an ideal destination all year round. In summer from June to September you have the possibility to rent a boat for a boat tour around the Prague Wild Lake. In winter you can admire the breathtaking scenery during a walk. The Pragser Wildsee/ Lago di Braies is guaranteed a great destination and also a beautiful photo backdrop for Instagram or your own photo albums.

Restaurants at the Prager Wildsee

There is only one restaurant directly at Prager Wildsee, which is part of the Prager Wildsee hotel, as well as a small kiosk. The restaurant offers Italian and Austrian cuisine and the kiosk has snacks, drinks and Italian ice cream. Around 4km from Prague Wildsee there is the restaurant Trattoria Mösslhof Alto Adige in Prags, here you can find delicious Italian cuisine and I can highly recommend it to you.

Prague Wild Lake Directions

If you come from Germany to Italy, most people use the Brenner Pass to drive from Austria to Italy. Here you stay on the highway and then take the exit Brixen- Pustertal and continue on the E66, after 54km and 1h drive you should come to the exit to Prags, then just follow the signs to Prager Wildsee / Lago di braies.

If you like to go hiking and enjoy the beautiful nature you should definitely choose a hotel near the lake, because the nearest bigger city is Bolzano and this is about 100km away.
